I have stayed at this hotel many times before and this was the last time I will be staying here. I had two bookings there this year and neither visit went well. ||I travel for work and are generally not a fussy person, but I expect basic politeness from the workers at the hotel, and cleanliness in the room. This year, I got none of that.||I've arrived late in the evening and was looking forward to getting some food and going to bed, but unfortunately had to fix a lot of issues before I could do that. I'm a "+ member" with Thon and was not treated with anything regarding that, and did not get the water bottle that we're suppose to get when we arrive. Small things like this obviously doesn't matter in the big picture, but when it's many small things it starts to show a picture of how thing are done at the hotel. I asked if I could get a fridge for my room to keep some food and drinks because I will be working all weekend, but that was apparently only for the "business rooms", which had changed since the last time I was there. ||I saw that there was a note about there being very noisy maintenance work being done right next door - but that was not something I had been informed when I booked the room, or the days before arriving. Since I was there for work I tried to ask what I could expect, since the note said the noise would happen both day and night. The staff was not very helpful with their answers and said "they wouldn't know". I told them I just wanted to ask how it had been the last couple of days for reference, but they just repeated that they didn't know. ||I heard another person working there say to another couple that they could come down and ask for earplugs. So not very reassuring.||Anyways, when I got to my room, everything looked fine at first. But when I walked around I saw that there was someones trash left over from the previous stay, it was makeup wipes and someones eye lenses in the trash, the bedding had blood and makeupstains on it, and it made me feel really uncomfortable. The room had been "cleaned" and made ready for another guest, but blood on the bed and pubic hair on the made up towels in the bathroom is disgusting.||I went to talk to the front desk and was greeted by someone who wouldn't let me finish telling them about the leftover trash before they interrupted and said "you cant expect it to be clean every day when you stay here". When I then continued what I was trying to say, I corrected her and said I only arrived here 20 minutes ago and it's not my trash.|No apology for not taking me seriously or listening to me, only moved along to find me another room.||The room I was put in was slightly better, thankfully quiet from the work outside (window towards the aircondition vents in the backyard, not pretty) but thats about it. There was a slight beeping sound all night from the ceiling/aircon or something, which made me quite insane, but I used earplugs during the evening. The TV also had only three working channels, which is not very modern for a hotel today.||Since I was coming back for another stay pretty recent after that, I had hoped for a better reception and a better experience, but no. I got there, this time I got the water bottle I was suppose to get the last time and I appreciated that. Since I had asked for a fridge the last time and I had issues with my room, I had been upgraded to a business room where it was quiet from the continuous noise outside. I was thankful for that.||The business room was located far from anything in the hotel and I felt like I walked in the hallways forever to find my room. Maybe this was done because these rooms were more quiet, but it was really depressing. When I got there, I found a dark room with almost no daylight. Since it was a "businessroom", the floor plan was a little different than the normal rooms, so the TV was on a wall in front of a dirty leather sofa, and the bed was near the door. So no way to watch TV from the bed, if you wanted to relax. The bathroom had only half a light working, so I couldn't see much in there, the towels were ripped and couldn't be hanged on a hanger, the bed was again full of makeup- and other stains, and the decorative pillows also had stains everywhere. It just looked really bad, and I was again disappointed with my experience. ||When i went back and wanted to talk to the front desk about my experience I got a response of "yeah, we heard about that". It made me feel difficult, when my complains had been pretty basic and not something I should be looked at for being difficult. This was another employee which I have had a good experience with before in earlier stays.||I got another room yet again, and this oom was much much better. But there was also hanging electrical cords from a mirror in the bathroom which was suppose to go to the light, but that obviously did not work, and made me nervous about it being so close to water. ||As with many hotels these days, the tile floors in the bathroom as ice cold and the rooms in general are very cold, in my eyes. But this room was older so it had a good old fashioned heater I could change myself. ||One thing this hotel has gotten right are the beds themselves, because they are one of the best beds I've experienced at a hotel - so I did sleep really well. Just tood bad the bedding had holes and stains. ||The Hotel itself is also at a great location in Hamar.||But yeah, generally - I'm sorry to say that I will not give this hotel anymore chances, and I really hope they will be better in the future. Both with the people working at the hotel who seems outright hostile toward some guests, and the cleanliness. The hotel is obviously old, but that's no excuse for the experiences I've had.

Oppholdet svarte dessverre ikke til forventningene. Personalet virket lite imĂžtekommende og ga inntrykk av at de helst ville vĂŠre et annet sted. Hotellet fremstĂ„r slitent og veldig godt brukt, med noe mĂžkk og sĂžppel i gangene. PĂ„ badet var det verken sĂ„pe eller andre nĂždvendigheter. Rommet var ogsĂ„ plaget av mye stĂžy utenfra. Frokosten var under middels, mest pĂ„ grunn av et svĂŠrt begrenset utvalg. Totalt sett en skuffende opplevelse â jeg ville valgt et annet hotell neste gang

Nice view of the nature of Norway.. parkings can possible by the side street with specific hours with payment...

LÄ to netter, lÞrdag til mandag pÄ dette hotellet midt i smÞrÞyet av Hamar by. Rimelig stort hotell hvor jeg fikk tildelt et rom i andre etasje. Senga var god og badet var fint. Hotellets frokostbuffet var veldig bra med det aller meste en ser pÄ hoteller flest i Norge. Kort vei dit fra rommet siden det var i tredje etasje frokost ble servert. Har egentlig ikke sÄ mye Ä klage pÄ. Kanskje litt mye during fra aircondition eller fra noe rÞrsystem som kunne vÊre forstyrrende nÄr en skal sove. Og sÄ bÞr de skifte ut eller fÄ renset vegg til vegg teppe i resepsjonen/lobbyen, der hvor en kan sette seg ned. Det var rimelig flekkete og stygt. Uansett alt i alt var det et fint opphold i Hamar.

Jeg kan begynne med det som er bra: Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet sentralt i byen og nÊrt MjÞsa. ||SÄ kan jeg gÄ videre pÄ resten:|FÞrst stod vi lenge og ventet pÄ Ä sjekke inn. Da vi kom til rommet sÄ vi at det sÄ ganske greit ut. Vi er en stor familie og hadde bestilt en junior-suite hvor det skulle vÊre plass til oss alle - og det var det.||Gardinene var trukket for, og da jeg Äpnet dem sÄ forstod jeg hvorfor de var trukket for. Det var utsikt rett inn i bakgÄrden; en en av de absolutt styggeste bakgÄrdene jeg har sett. Se bilde jeg laster opp med anmeldelsen. ||Tidligere pÄ dagen hadde jeg skrevet i en e-post til dem at jeg hÄpet det var kjÞling pÄ rommet, da det var 30 grader pÄ Hamar denne dagen. De svarte at de ikke har kjÞling, men at de skulle sette ut vifter pÄ rommet. Ved innsjekk nevnte jeg det med viftene, og fikk som svar at de skulle dobbeltsjekke og komme til rommet med vifter om det ikke allerede var der. Det kom aldri noen vifter. ||For Ä kunne sove i varmen mÄtte vi ha vinduene Äpne gjennom natta. For min del ble det ingen sÞvn fÞr kl 05 pÄ grunn av et voldsomt brÄk fra ventilasjonssystemet i bakgÄrden. Dette kan best beskrives som om en lastebil stÄr rett utenfor rommet med motoren i gang pÄ hÞyt turtall. Det ironiske med Ä ligge og hÞre pÄ et voldsomt leven fra ventilasjonsanlegget var at det var jo ingen antydning til ventilasjon pÄ rommet. ||Det var ikke nok gardiner til Ä dekke vinduene, sÄ det ble heller ikke mÞrkt pÄ rommet gjennom natta. ||BadedÞra hadde ingen lÄs, sÄ det kan jo vÊre morsomt Ä sitte pÄ do nÄr et av barna finner ut at det er gÞy Ä Äpne dÞra. Wifi var ikke sÊrlig brukandes, sÄ jeg endte med Ä bruke mobilnettet istedenfor. ||Frokosten var heller ikke slik man forventer av et Thon-hotell. Appelsinjuicen var av billigste sort, det samme var syltetÞyet. EggerÞre var av pulver, og det ble ikke fylt pÄ med mer etter hvert som det ble tomt for ting. ||Vi fikk refundert kr 500 i resepsjonen morgenen etter, men Ä likevel betale over 2000 kr for dette er scam. Vi kommer ikke tilbake.

Fint rom og imĂžtekommende personale. Godt utvalg i frokostsalen. Litt kronglete Ă„ finne sted Ă„ parkere bilen, men dette ligger utenfor hotellets sitt ansvar da det var arbeid pĂ„ togstasjonen. Hadde vi visst at det ikke finnes aircondition pĂ„ rommene hadde vi ikke dratt hit da det var nesten 30 grader ute og det ble veldig varmt og tett inne. Vi fikk en liten borddvifte, men det var begrenset hvor mye det hjalp i et lukket rom med tre personer. |Om man Ă„pner vinduet til bakgĂ„rden brĂ„ker det helt sinnsykt fra noen store ventilasjonsrĂžr der (som dessverre ikke hĂžrer til rommene!) og vi Ăžnsket heller ikke at noen som hadde vindu ut mot samme tak skulle ha mulighet til Ă„ komme inn pĂ„ vĂ„rt rom pĂ„ natta... Utsikten ut mot bakgĂ„rden var uten sammenligning den styggeste vi noen gang har hatt fra et hotell. |Vi overhĂžrte de pĂ„ nabobordene ved frokosten snakke om manglende ventilasjon og brĂ„k ogsĂ„, ingen hadde sovet godt.|PĂ„ plussiden var alle de ansatte vi var i kontakt med veldig vennlige og hyggelige, bĂ„de i resepsjonen og en smilende og hyggelig renholder som spurte om vi trengte nye hĂ„ndklĂŠr eller trengte hjelp til noe annet. Hadde anmeldelsen kun gĂ„tt pĂ„ de ansatte hadde jeg gitt hĂžyere score đ|Frokosten var veldig god og variert, akkurat som en hotellfrokost skal vĂŠre. BĂ„de smĂ„ og store fant mye de likte. Vi satt ved bord ved vinduet og hadde fin utsikt utover MjĂžsa. Tipp topp đđ» SĂ„ da koste vi oss.|Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt til i sentrum med kort vei til strand, butikker, resturanter og utesteder. (Men man mĂ„ tĂ„le litt lyd eller ha Ăžrepropper nĂ„r man skal sove, pĂ„ den ene siden vendt mot bakgĂ„rd brĂ„kete ventilasjon og pĂ„ den andre siden vendt mot gata hĂžrer man uteliv, i hvert fall midt i sommersesongen som nĂ„). |Tross hyggelig ansatte og sentral beliggenhet vil vi nok ikke velge dette hotellet om vi kommer tilbake til Hamar.|(Vi har bodd pĂ„ et annet hotell et par kvartaler unna fĂžr som vi heller ville valgt Ă„ dra tilbake til).

Et litt slitt jernbanehotell, greit pusset opp. God frokost, men brÞdutvalget varierer sterkt. Enkelte dager er det faktisk litt vanskelig Ä finne noe brÞd overhode, dersom man ikke spiser linfrÞ. FÞrste dagen var det faktisk bare denne ene typen "Ä velge mellom". MÄ innrÞmme at jeg ikke forsÞkte cÞlikibrÞdet. Det var triste greier. Jeg savner at det ikke er kjÞleskap pÄ oppgraderte rom. Stygge vannskader pÄ flere bad, grunnet klÞnete lÞsninger etter oppussing. Vindu mot gaten var sÄ slitt, at det var vanskelig Ä Äpne riktig.
Alt i alt et hyggelig hotell, men det samme kan ikke sies om Thon medlemsservice. Ved bestilling sist fungerte ikke Thons betalingslÞsning (igjen). Jeg ringte inn sentralt og fikk det vemmeligste kvinnemenneske jeg har snakket med pÄ lenge, pÄ trÄden. Hun mente at Ärsaken til at jeg ikke fikk gjennomfÞrt betaling, var at jeg hadde valgt det billigste enkeltrommet, og det hadde de ikke ledig. At det stod som et alternativ etter sÞk, var en feil. Det mÄtte jeg skjÞnne. Jeg fikk forsÞke igjen pÄ et oppgradert rom, og betale det det kostet.
Jeg la pÄ, og prÞvde fÞrst et businessrom og sÄ et premiumrom. Det fungerte heller ikke. SÄ ringte jeg rett til hotellet. De svarte hÞflig og hyggelig som alltid, at mitt fÞrstevalg; enkeltrom, billigste type, hadde de ledig alle Þnskede dati.
