Basecamp Nord has recently been turned into an indoor camping site that offers accommodation and activities in the area. Short summary: it's very unique and could be incredible with a few minor improvements.

Pros: the novelty of indoor camping is great. It's an exciting idea and it's obvious that a lot of effort has been put into the decór and tents. The beds are comfortable and the tent is very cozy inside. The Målselv area is amazing and views from Basecamp Nord are just beautiful. They offer activities in the area and also have a burger restaurant onsite (apparently it's great, we didn't get a chance to try it). Alpine skiing centre is just down the road, see Målselve Fjellandsby website for more info. Price was okay.

Cons: it was nearly impossible to find the parking area and no info about this was given when booking. The pin on Google Maps is correct but directions will lead you to the service delivery entrance. Don't do it! Trust me. Drive up the main road until you see the Målselv welkomsenter. Turn right and drive through that parking lot and take the small road to the left. Continue driving until you see the Basecamp Nord parking sign. Then walk towards the Visit Centre (red house) up the road, keep walking until you cross a bridge, and then you'll see the entrance.
We asked beforehand about the burger restaurant hours and the property replied that it was open until 9pm. We arrived at 8.30pm to find that the kitchen had already closed. There are no other meal alternatives nearby so be aware if you are arriving late.
Having had chips and apples for dinner, we were hopeful for a great breakfast. It was well below average, especially considering the property runs a burger restaurant. Two dry pieces of bread, 2 slices of plastic cheese, 1 piece of ham, stale cucumbers, and a few slices of raw onion. Norwegian hotel/hostel breakfasts are never exciting. But this was not appetizing by any means. We would have gladly paid for an overpriced but yummy breakfast burger. Surely a place that is a burger restaurant at night can do better. No milk available for coffee and no one in sight to ask.
It is not possible to lock your tent. We were the only people there so not a problem but in a room full of tents, it would be nice.
The indoor camping area is incredibly cold. Take warm socks. Bathrooms are quite a walk away so slip on shoes might be helpful.
