Sehr schnukkeliges & gemütliches kleines Restaurant ( nur 1 grosser Tisch) in aussergewöhnlich interessantem Ambiente ( ist gleichzeitig ein Museum
mit vielen historischen Objekten ).. einfach zauberhaft! Die hausgemachte Fischsuppe und die Waffeln waren ausgezeichnet, ebenso der sehr freundliche Empfang. Auf jeden Fall hingehen!

The place is AMAZING! It has a soul, beautiful view and things to see and taste, you hardly find in another place 🙂 the family running Mortenhals Gård is friendly and welcoming. We have visited the museum (the old store). Maria gave us the tour, telling a lot about the history of the place and her family. The store is like a Time Machine, you can have a peek at Norway 100 years ago. The food is delicious! Everything we tried was homemade and local. Really recommended! ❤️ it is a possibility to have a snowshoe tour around. unique experience of the place and the country. 🤗 all the best to Maria and her family!

Cutest and smallest restaurant we have been :)! You have to book in advance and then you will be served a delicious fish soup and an excellent waffle desert. At the same time the restaurant is a museum, as it used to be a local store. The couple who owns it cooks and explains you also the museum.

Warm recommendation! We have been at Mortenhals gård last week, rented ski shoes and got recommendation for amazing route in the mountains from the owner. We have also ordered lunch which was ready for us upon our arrival back to the Gård☺️ lunch was very delicious and home made, we were sitted in the old store which was an amazing experience itself. The owner was really friendly and nice, gave us a tour around the museum and told about the History of the place. It was one of our best activities during our visit in the north, I really recommend it if you like authenthic and one of a kind experiences❤️ and thank you once again for making us feel so welcomed!

It had just snowed, and we were looking for a walk nearby. We found Maria and her husband, who welcomed us warmly. They suggested a walk to a beautiful viewpoint but emphasized that there were plenty of options along the way to shorten or extend the walk, depending on what we wanted. It turned out to be a fantastic hike with a spectacular view of the fjord. We have spent a great time together, with an excellent waffle at the museum afterwards.
