Olivia Eger ended up being a convenient and easy option for dinner at the end of a long day of exploring the city. We didn’t have anything planned in advance and were able to make a last-minute reservation, which they accommodated without any trouble. By this point in the trip, we were pretty tired, so being seated right away without any waiting was a huge relief.

The space has a relaxed, modern feel. It’s not flashy or over the top, but it’s welcoming and comfortable, which was exactly what we needed. The service stood out as one of the best parts of the experience. Our server was excellent — attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. He recommended the Pasta Pollo Ubriaco, which I ordered, and it turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The pasta was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and hit the spot after a long day.

The rest of the food was solid, though not particularly memorable, which makes this a great option for an easy, unfussy dinner if you’re nearby. Between the friendly service, the ease of getting a table, and a satisfying meal, Olivia Eger was a pleasant way to end the evening.

Este un restaurant cu specific italian situat chiar in zona centrala din Oslo. Este destul de aglomerat și se recomanda rezervarea. Conform specificului am comandat Paște si un platou de brânzeturi. Mâncarea a fost bună, nu extraordinara! Servirea si personalul este foarte ok. Atmosfera din interior aduce un pic cu aerul unei pizzerii italiene. Merge pentru o masa fara pretenții exagerate!

Haben neben dem Lokal eine rauch Pause gemacht und sind weil wir auch hungrig waren dann auch eingekehrt. Wir haben gleich einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und wir mussten auch nicht lange auf die leckere Pizza warten. Olivia Eger ist sehr zum empfehlen.

A comida chegou bem rápido, o atendimento foi bom e os pratos são bem servidos. Pedimos o linguini al profumo di mare e pasta carbonara. Pratos bem elaborados, vem com uma generosa fatia de focaccia.
O linguine estava mais saboroso que o carbonara. Vimos os pratos das outras mesas e tudo era muito bonito e bem servido, inclusive a salada.
Esperamos uns 7 minutos por uma mesa pois não tínhamos reserva. Ambiente aconchegante, bonito, muito bom.

God glutenfri mat, men liten pasta-porsjon 🍴

De har både glutenfri pasta, pizza og brød her. Pizzaen var veldig god og mettende. Pastaen derimot var helt ok. Pastaen var litt underkokt og sausen var veldig tynn, samt at porsjonen var veldig liten. Den er ikke verdt den prisen når man får så lite.

Desserten var også smakfull og servitøren var veldig hyggelig.

The food was decent, however, the service was horrible and made the whole experience awful. We waited at the front for around 10 mins because there was no one in the front to seat us. Once we got seated, the waiter came up to us and didn’t say a word to us - they just stared at us to order. After ordering food and being seated for over 10 minutes, we noticed that two other tables that came after us were given water, utensils, and plates by the waiter. We didn’t get any of those and we ended up having to ask for water to be given to us. The food overall was alright but the service just made everything distasteful. Typically I’m hesitant to write negative reviews but we were really disappointed by the service because there were so many good reviews about this spot.

We wanted to give Olivia another try in Bergen so we went again but like the first time, we stood at the front waiting over 10 minutes again while waiters and bartenders constantly made eye contact with us without acknowledging us. We ended up leaving and not dining with Olivia again.

Edit: The restaurant responded to the review to contact a email and we reached out but no one responded...

Best pasta I’ve had in a long time. Very tasty and lots of chicken en crispy bacon in the pasta. Nice freshly baked focaccia.

Went here for my birthday.
Drank a mocktail that the waiter recommended, and ate a vegetarian and gluten-free capriccosa. Everything was so delicious!
The service was amazing, our food arrived quickly and the waiter even agreed to take a picture of us.
Highly recommend!
