I tried this ramen place inside a shopping mall – the seating area was okay. I ordered the Hot and Creamy Tomato Ramen. The egg in the noodles was cold, and the pork tasted just okay. The noodles themselves lacked flavor, but the broth was excellent (9/10).

Overall, the dish was around 6/10. I just wish the rest of the bowl had matched the quality of the broth.

This is the best noodle that I ever had in Norway. I can’t wait to give it a good review even before I finished. The soup is really nice. You can feel PaoPao use good ingredients and chef cooks it with heart. Really good noodle. Also the waitress is super friendly and make customers feel welcome. We’re on a 17 day cruise through Norway and I’ve been searching for good ramen at every stop. Trondheim was our port for the day and I was thrilled to find PaoPao Bao and Ramen with excellent reviews. We walked over and were happy to discover it’s located inside a cozy mall easy to find and a perfect little food haven in the city center.

We were warmly welcomed by China who was incredibly helpful and kind. She recommended the Hell’s Ramen and let us know it was the spiciest one on the menu. As a spice lover it was just right for me bold heat without overpowering the flavor. The broth was rich savory and full of depth with a beautiful balance of spice and umami. The noodles were bouncy and fresh and we even ordered extra because they were so good.

We also had the pork bao which was pillowy soft with juicy flavorful pork inside. It was slightly sweet slightly savory and totally satisfying. The six pork dumplings were perfectly pan fried with a crisp edge and juicy filling they came with a dipping sauce that tied it all together.

Everything tasted fresh homemade and full of care. We polished off every bite and left full and happy. The service from China made the whole experience even better warm attentive and genuinely kind.

If you’re in Trondheim and craving comforting flavorful Asian food this place is an absolute gem. Don’t miss it.

Delicious Hot sour ramen and pork dumplings. Ramen flavour softness everything is just perfect. Dumplings i can tell itis traditional recipe and handmade chewy skin, not frozen machine made, love it. Dumplings also with very crispy layer. Good little spot for comfort food. Recommend!
